I just quit being a YouTuber. What's next?

I quit being a YouTuber a few days ago. I announced this with a video, which can be seen here. This article is a bit of a write up of what my next plans are.

Firstly, some cleanup. I've gotten some platform debt from this and also just the passage of time, so I need to rework my Discord and Kofi, and add more stuff to this website. The website updates should be done at the same time as this article is uploaded, which will be nice for me. I also want to rebrand the channel visually a little bit, as it's more just a dumping grounds for my video projects since I'm not using it as a YouTube channel specifically.

Second, my current priorities. Plant Review S3 is in the works. I don't have a lot of effort on that right now, but that'll change. I have a few phases for this show - filming, research and writing, voiceover, editing - and the bulk of each phase usually happens in quick succession. We're currently in the middle of recording. As of now, 4 plants have been filmed, with a current goal of 8 total plants for the season.

I also would like to start writing a monthly progress report, just so even if I do nothing but relax for an entire month I can at least tell you what I did to relax. The first one would come out in June, and would be about this month, so I have to write it starting now, basically.

Additionally, I'd like to fix the arcade cabinet seen in this video. I received it in a playable state, but it's not perfect, and it's actually the origin of that chronic pain I mentioned in the quitting video. The buttons could use some maintenance, and when I take care of that I'll also upgrade the game software to a newer version. That will probably just be something I do on my own time.

There's also a Lumines video I want to get edited, but that may or may not happen. Other one-off videos will definitely happen, just not at a somewhat regular pace like it used to be. Things interest me all the time and I like making videos about those things.

Thirdly, my next priorities. First and foremost, I really want to learn to draw. I have a fursona, I should be able to put him anywhere I want. My first goal with drawing is to make one piece of visual art that feels like it's still good a month after I've made it. That feels realistic.

I also still want to chip away at the Lumines archive. It's almost in a releasable state, it's just also a little hard to approach. Writing guides and tutorials on how to do things is quite difficult compared to writing opinion stuff.

I'd like to write more, but I don't have anything I want to write about at the moment. There's a list of music opinions I have that I might eventually publish, but it'd need more meat on the bones first.

That's about it at the moment. Will any of this actually happen? And after all that, what's next? I don't know. We'll see where the wind takes me.

Post-script side note: I don't know how to feel about the fact that the quitting announcement got picked up by the YouTube algorhythm a bit. Several people commented that they found my channel for the first time through that video, which seems a bit unfortunate? I'm still going through with the new plan, I need to be able to make other things, it's just very weird to me.
