July 2024 Monthly Wrapup
It's the monthly wrapup! Here's what I did in July.
RELEASES:
OTHER PROJECT EFFORTS:
- I finished the script-writing for Plant Review right at the end of the month. Deciding to sit down at a library computer to get it done was wildly effective, and it also allows me to use physical books to find info.
- I wrote some of a script about a different DDR thing than the previous DDR thing. I don't know if I'm actually going to use either of these.
NON-PROJECT EFFORTS:
- I'm 21 now! I can drink alcohol and not book Motel6 on vacations! Mango soju and strawberry daiquiri are both pretty good.
- I also finally got a library card, which allowed me to complete Plant Review scripting as mentioned earlier.
- I fixed my Jubeat cabinet! Kind of. It's much cleaner, the buttons are easier to push, it's running a newer game version, and a Gengar plush is now strategically positioned. However, I've also found I have a few fully dead sensors, which points to either PCB issues (fixable) or cable issues (terrifying). It's not so many dead sensors that it's unplayable by any means, which is good enough for me for now, especially since I can't really physically play it even a year and a half later.
- I've kept playing Islands of Insight. I'm in post-game now, so the next big progression point is the secret goals which are wildly satisfying to complete. This game is amazingly good.
- I've also kept playing dance games. I'm top 300 globally in StepManiaX now!...due to a very long Full mode grind session that I should not and will not replicate again.
- I also got into Geometry Dash again and finally completed a standard demon that isn't The Nightmare. (It was Speed Racer, so not a big jump, but it's at least actually commendable now.) Platformer mode has also been a huge source of fun and I've cleared every easy demon I've liked playing.
- Minecraft, Everybody Edits, Luck Be A Landlord, and tetr.io were also touched on a bit. Good month for sandbox games.
